About us

Hello, we would like to introduce Hato Press a speciality printing and publishing house based in London. We specialise in both screen-printing and Risograph printing processes. The Risograph prints with soy based inks resulting in cost effective prints with unique qualities.

Hato is an ever growing family for other creatives. It is a support network established by Ken KirtonJackson Lam and Louise Naunton Morgan to offer affordable means of production to others so they may share their thoughts and dreams. Ross Bennett has since joined the family.

At Hato Press we believe in the innate pleasure of making things and encourage others to join us. We also like trees and that’s why we only stock recycle paper in house.

    Recent clients include
Barbican Centre, The British Council, Book Works, Victoria and Albert Museum, Serpentine Gallery, Hayward Gallery, St Bride Library, Department 21, Manystuff, YCN, Central Saint Martins, Goldsmiths College, Royal College of Art, OKAYstudio, Camden Council, Phil Baines, Catherine Dixon, Sara De Bondt studio, Fraser Muggeridge studio, Åbäke.

    Publishing

Please contact us if you want to publish a book. Whether you’re a designer, writer, editor or a person with a great idea, we’d be interested in hearing your publishing idea.

    Our Risograph

We have two Risograph RP 3700 and one MZ 770E stencil duplicators.

    The process
The RP3700 is a single drum machine, which means for each pass through the printer a single colour is printed.

The MZ 700E is a two drum machine, it is one of the most advance Risograph and can print two colours in a single pass.
