Hato regulars here will know we always run a christmas card deal, to make sure you keep creative over the festive season. As we’re drawing ever closer to the dreaded december here it is, the best deal in tinsel town. Get in touch if you need any further help. Hello there, Jackson from Hato has been working with some students from the Westminster Academy for a while and there is a small exhibition of their work on show this Friday and Saturday.

This two-day event showcases work by artists, designers and students from Westminster Academy in response to the Edgware Road neighbourhood, including issues of policing, public speech, real estate development as well as possibility and play. With film screenings, performances, walks and talks and an exhibition taking place in and around Edgware Road area, the event offers responses and propositions for this London neighbourhood.
The work was developed during the Public Space Seminar, a weekly programme of the Serpentine Gallery’s Edgware Road Project. The Edgware Road Project links local and international artists with people living and working in the Edgware Road neighbourhood.

GEORGIE McAUSLAND : SUPERSTITION AT SEAJune 26, 2012
As well as having an awesome name, Georgie McAusland has also been gifted with a talent for illustration. Her latest series of drawings and watercolours, Superstition at Sea, translated really well into a riso print series. Check out her entire portfolio here and we urge you to go to her graduation show from the Kingston Illustration and Animation course, opening on the 5th July in Shoreditch. Tonight see’s the opening of Hot Mess at the Queen of Hoxton. The 4 strong collection of illustrators have been busy painting the entirety of the QOH, inside and out. But that’s not all as well as that, they’ve found the time to print 14 limited edition prints with us.
Without giving too much away here’s a sneak preview of a few. Make sure to get down their from 6pm to witness the mess. The night goes on until 2am with bands, ink and illustrations galore. You’ll need to RSVP here.
