Issey Miyake, Tadanori Yokoo: Paris Collections 1977 - 1999

£130.00

Invitations to the ISSEY MIYAKE Paris Collection have been designed by Tadanori Yoko’o since 1977. The same size and shape were used until the fall/winter collection of 1999. The exhibition displayed invitations as well as the original drawings and photos they were based on, and other materials to highlight the production process. Meanwhile, in another section of the gallery, 14 big-screen monitors showed highlights from the Paris collections. The two spaces were linked by displays of printed apparel designed by Yoko’o, including “Paradise Lost” (1976), one of the most characteristic pieces of the “A Piece of Cloth” series. Clothing installations by Naro Tamiya; space design and exhibit layout by Tokujin Yoshioka; exhibition organized by the Museum of Modern Art, Toyama.
